Describe an experience where you chose to participate or “were volunteered” to be part of a team or group activity. A team project or committee experience from a work setting is preferred but other settings (school board, religious work group, PTA, etc.) may be used as well. Identify the number of people involved, and discuss the purpose of the team’s work, whether or not the team goals were achieved and the length of time the team worked towards achieving those goals.
Using the key values assessment criteria outlined by Dye (2017) in chapter 17, evaluate how the team on which you participated upheld those values. Explain your rationale for this assessment.
Finally, considering team effectiveness evaluation as described by Dye (2017) in Chapter 18, identify which areas your team could have improved on the most in order to be more productive and effective.
