The goal of this assignment is to encourage the student to research current literature related to Quality Improvement, Magnet Status, Budgeting, and Staffing specific to your hospital setting.
• Perform a literature search in an area for articles related to Quality Improvement in the hospital, Magnet Status, Budgeting, or Staffing specific to your hospital setting. Medline and CINAL are two possible search engines.
• Acceptable articles are those published within the last five years.
• Approved journals include the following, Nursing Research, Image, Nursing Outlook, Nursing Standard or any specialty journal. The journal must be peer reviewed.
• Research articles include an abstract, background literature, problem statement, collection of data, and analyze data. If there is a question as to the legitimacy of a journal, please discuss it with your clinical instructor.
