Written work will be typed in APA format. Papers should be written with 1” margins, 12pt Times New Roman font, and double spaced. In order to be considered APA format, papers must include a cover page (including title of the paper, course title and name, due date, student’s name, and instructors name in that order). You will also need a reference page written in APA format, and proper in-text citation.
Topic: Students will choose from a list of varying sociological theories (examples: functionalism, conflict theory, symbolic interactionism, feminism, critical race theory, etc.) to write their paper about. This paper should explain the theory in detail, as well as any important theorists in the field, and give an example of how the theory can be used to explain a social problem in society.
