Theoretical perspectives and Themes of CSP
The following short clips present some of the important themes of Critical Social Psychology (CSP), which are also discussed within the first chapter (Gough et al, 2013), although the authors might use a bit different wording. In order to be able to write this post you do need to finish reading the chapter first.
Discuss one of the following themes presented in the clips (situated knowledges; power relations; individual-society dualism; or agency – structures dualism) in relation to one of the theoretical perspectives – paradigms (Marxism, feminist theory, psychoanalysis, social constructivism) discussed by Gough et al (2013) in their introductory chapter.
Almost any combination is possible (theme X theoretical perspectives), but you may want to think which one of the paradigms might be the most suitable or relevant to address the given theme. Explain your choice. ( 200- 250 words).
