INSTRUCTIONS:
(MOVIE- Best of Enemies) Film Analysis:
1. Describe the overarching conflict of the film (the social and political level conflict the film is centered on). Use scholarly references to aid your discussion and provide context beyond the film.
2. Describe 2-3 interpersonal conflicts depicted in the film (issues between two individuals). What is the central conflict between the individuals? Provide an analysis of the motivations and concerns each character is experiencing (what is their perspective of the conflict situation). Discuss how their conflict was resolved (positive or negative outcome). Be specific about what steps or actions between the pair led to a positive or negative outcome.
3. Utilizing our text on Restorative Justice (use citations), discuss how the charrette from the film embodies the principles of restorative justice? Give examples. Discuss how this process led to a resolution.
4. After seeing the charrette in the film, can you provide examples other of restorative justice processes or imagine current systems that could incorporate restorative justice principles. Be specific with your examples or suggestions (use references).
