For this assignment, you will create a newsletter addressing one psychological disorder. Review the
psychological disorders addressed in the textbook. Select one that interests you or one you believe is
often misunderstood. You will need to conduct additional research on the disorder to complete this
assignment. Be sure to use credible sources and provide citations for all resources including the
textbook.
In your presentation, address the following:
Name of disorder
Description of the most relevant symptoms of the disorder.
How might the disorder impact an individual’s life?
Provide 3 statistics about the disorder (who is most often affected, gender differences, coexistence of
other disorders, types of treatment sought, is the disorder increasing or decreasing…)
Additional information: include other interesting facts, history of the disorder, possible genetic link,
insight into common myths, famous people who suffer from the illness…
What is the most effective form of treatment for the disorder? Is the disorder curable?
Provide information on three local resources to assist someone suffering from the disorder.
