On page 92 of the course textbook, we learned that some agencies adopted strict pursuit policies, which resulted in a decline in pursuits. One could argue that a “no pursuit” policy would eliminate the problem completely. However, most agencies are unwilling to make a policy that disallows all pursuits. Instead, policies explain certain conditions in which a pursuit would be allowed. Write the conditions that you believe would be reasonable for officers to engage in a pursuit.
