RFP stands for request for proposals. An RFP document lists all of the requirements, eligibility, and needs to apply for a grant to support a program or project. It helps nonprofit organizations to identify these funding opportunities to support their mission in helping people and communities. To prepare for this discussion, be sure you have read the RFP criteria of THE Foundation.
Then, choose an existing nonprofit human services organization that meets THE Foundation funding criteria. This organization will be the one you use throughout this course. The organization you select can be located anywhere in the United States and must be a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. Be sure that the organization you choose has a comprehensive website.
