Purpose
The purpose of this activity is to provide the student with an opportunity to develop skill in preparing a review of the three articles in order to expand his/her knowledge of curriculum development and/or curriculum revision.
Directions
1. Using CINAHL or MEDLINE or other data bases, locate professional articles focusing on curriculum development.
Select 3 articles from the search that addresses the topic. Make sure there is at least one research article in the group and the articles are peer reviewed.
Prepare a review of each selected article, describing what you have found. Document the discussion. Place each review in a logical sequence. Make sure there is an introduction, and a conclusion to your review. Write a 3-5-page paper (does not include the title, abstract, or reference pages) to evaluate all three articles. The paper may address the following:
a. Introduction: the relevance of identified topic
b. Review of each article:
i.Purpose of the article
ii. Findings of the article
iii. Strengths and limitations of the article
c. Conclusion: Summary of all articles with recommendation to topic of interest.
Prepare a title page, abstract, and reference list according to APA guidelines.
An introduction and conclusion should be included according to APA guidelines.
Attach a Research Synthesis Matrix table of three articles reviewed (see Appendix; organize by Author
